For the little boy, I will be doing two pairs of double-layered wool mittens. Sounds pretty simple, right? Well, the double layer makes it a bit tricky, because I'll definitely want to have the layers connected. But I'll have a section on between the rows to hold them together.
Reversible? No. I don't like when my liner gets wrinkly.
For the little girl, I'm doing one pair of double layered mittens as for the boy, but I'm also doing a pair of flip gloves that are double layered up to the fingers (The flap will double layer the rest of the fingers). Complicated? Absolutely. Exciting? Definitely.
Each of the four pairs will have a length of cord connecting them.
I hope to post pictures as I go through the process! Hopefully I'll start writing down how I do these someday! I follow some patterns until I understand a technique. But for the most part, my work just comes right out of my head.
