I had some reservations on using a knit, so I enlisted the help of my sister* to sew some simple liners to help these maintain a consistent shape for years to come. The liners suited these perfectly and provided a guide for the shape that I was to knit.
Since my twins are identical but still so different, I wanted these to be a clear pair with a bit of different personality. I decided to stick to one pattern, which I designed while making the front of Curt's stocking. But I also wanted to invert the colors to keep these distinct. It's no secret that I love the style of Nordic knit patterns, so I used a modified version of one of my Nordic snowflake patterns. With a Scandinavian father and strong Scandinavian influence in how I design, these really fit perfectly with our new family Christmas.
