I made it to match the booties that I finished last week. It is done on all the same blues and greens. What I like about this blue, is the faint variegation in the yarn. There are hints of yellows, greens, and reds throughout.
The green was very easy to add in: I just stopped using the blue and instead used a green yarn. I put slip knots on both ends of the green, so I wouldn't have to replace and disconnect the blue yarn.
Like almost all of my circular pieces, this was knit in the round. I love the efficiency of knitting in the round - it adds a distinct character and ease to whatever I'm making.
The pinwheel is one of the my favorite gradual decreases, and with the stockinette stitch, I was able to do it a little differently than I normally do. Typically, I would do an equal decrease with a purl stitch to make sure the decreases sink under the pattern, but making a pinwheel meant I could do a single decrease with a knit stitch, so the decreases sit on top of the work instead of underneath.
All in all, I'm very glad to see this set go out!
